You will need the supplies here
- Open and duplicate the tubes. Close originals
Put the mask in your mask folder - Open a new image 600x500 px, transparent
- Materials palette => foreground #914e4e and background #c69a94
Create a gradient with the following settings - fill the image with the gradient
- Add a new raster layer. Fill it with the gold pattern
- Layers => Load/Save mask => Load mask from disk : 3D Square
Layers => merge => merge group
Layers palette => merge all visible - Selection => select all
selection => modify => contract 40 px
Delete. Selection => invert - Effects => 3D Effects => Inner bevel with the following settings
- Effects => plugins => GraphicPlus => Cross shadow (defaults settings)
- Regarding Lorna's tutorial I have made a light change here (you can see the difference when clicking on the link to the original tutorial) : Add a new layer. Fill it with the foreground colour. Layers palette => arrange => send to bottom
- Open Suzi Sgaï's tube SS_1707_misted. Right click => copy
Paste as new layer in your working image
Image => resize 85% (option resize all layers unchecked)
Move the tube to the top (see the tag above)
Blend mode =>luminance (Legacy) - Open the tube Kat_2007_020289. Right click => copy
Paste as new layer in your working image
Image => resize 85% (option resize all layers unchecked)
Move the tube to the lower left corner (see the tag above)
Blend mode =>luminance (Legacy) - Effects => illumination effects => sunburst with the following settings
Layers palette => merge visible - Open the tube water lilies. Right click => copy
Paste as new layer in your working image
Image => resize 45% (option resize all layers unchecked)
Move it to the lower right side
blend mode : luminance (Legacy)
Layers palette => arrange => move down under the mermaid - Layers palette => merge all (flatten)
- Add your name.
File => export as jpeg optimiser
Effects => FM Tile Tools => Blend emboss (defaults settings)
The light must be on the mermaid's star. while creating the sunburst,
slightly move the cross in order to have the light right there.
Effects => FM Tile Tools => Blend emboss (default settings)
You are done !
