May I point out that the tubes used here are strictly for personal use.
Do not change their names and watermarks and do not upload them on other websites.
Should you need to use these tubes for any other use than personal,
please contact the tubers first for permission.
You will need :
the selection and the mask in the zip file here
an image of your choice : height 350 x 450 width
the plugin DSB Flux
Put the mask in your PSP masks folder
Put the selection in your PSP selections folder
Put the plugin in your plugins folder
- Select a light colour for your foreground and a darker one for your background.
- Materials palette => foreground gradient : linear - angle 90° - repeats 1 - invert checked
- Open a new image 1024 x 350 and flood fill it with your gradient
- Adjust => blur => gaussian blur : 30
- In your selection settings toolbar, select "custom" with these settings :
- Selections => modify => contract : 50. Selections => modify : feathering 20
- Layers palette : promote selection to layer
- Effects => plugins => DSB flux => linear transmission : 15 / 15 / 30 - horizontal
- Effects => edge effects : enhance more
- Selections => select none (Ctrl D). Layers palette : duplicate. Image => mirror
- Layers palette : merge down
- Layers palette : raster 1. Effects => texture effects => blinds - background dark colour
- Layers => Load/save mask => load mask from disk. Select the "Fadebottom_01" mask. Settings : check
source luminance, fit to canvas, hide all mask - invert transparency unchecked
- Layers => delete and merge group
- Image => canvas size : 1024x400 with these settings :
- Add a new layer and flood fill with your foreground light colour
- Layers palette => arrange => move down and merge visible layers
- Effects => image effects => seamless tiling with these settings. Put the image aside
- Open a new image 450 x350 transparent. Flood fill with your gradient = invert unchecked
- Adjust => blur => gaussian blur : 30
- Effects => plugins => DSB flux => linear transmission : 5 / 5 / 30 - horizontal
- Effects => edge effects : enhance. Edit => copy
- Open your 1024x400 tag. Add a new layer
- Selections => Load/save selection => load selection from disk and select the "shury_01" selection
- Edit => paste into selection. Selections => select none
- With your magic wand (feathering 0) select the inside area of the selection
- Selections => modify => expand 30. Add a new layer
- Open your image. Resize it if needed as it must have a 350 px height. Copy and paste into
selection of your 1024x400 working image. Selections => select none
- Layers palette => arrange => move down
- Go back to the upper layer (the frame layer). Merge down
- Effects =>3D effects => drop shadow with these settings - foreground colour
- Stay on the shadow layer. Effects => texture effects => blinds with the same settings as step 12. Layers
palette => blend mode => darken. (tip : this in fact depends on your colours. When I did Jeany's
tutorial, I choose the blendmode "multiply")
- Layers palette => duplicate. Image => mirror
- Go back to the upper layer. Effects => 3D effects => drop shadow : 1 / 1 / 100 / 1 - background colour
(shadow on new layer unchecked). Apply again the drop shadow with H and V : -1
- With the text tool add yoour name. Merge all (flatten)
- File => export => JPG optimizer
